Amy Sass Director, performer, and visual artist, Amy is the co-founder of Ragged Wing Ensemble. At a tender age, Amy was swimming in the deep waters of the Brecht, Artaud, Peter Schumann and Shakespeare. Her thorough training in both traditional acting and the avant-garde canon continues to propel her on a quest toward possibility and surprise. Receiving her degree in both directing and the visual arts, she brings her finely tuned aesthetic to the stage. Combining large-scale spectacle with the strength of classical scene-work, Amy thrives on stretching the shape of theater. She is a passionate teacher who leads a vibrant theater program at Prospect Sierra School where she instills a sense of bravery and risk in her students. In essence, Amy is a fierce arts advocate. She works from the gut, using theater & art as vehicles for healing, empowerment and social change.
